John Dumelo, member of parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, is bringing the World Cup to his constituents for free. The MP announced that he has set up viewing centres across the constituency with DSTV subscriptions and large screens so residents can watch Ghana’s matches without charge.
Dumelo unveiled the initiative on X, formerly Twitter. The viewing centres are located in six areas: Abelemkpe, Okponglo, Mempasem, Airport Residential Area, West Legon, and Dworwulu. He has fully funded the television subscriptions and provided screens at each location.

The MP is going further to support match-day attendance. He has engaged 13 kenkey vendors to provide free meals; kenkey and fish to supporters attending the viewing centres during Ghana’s games. The initiative aims to unite football fans while building momentum for the Black Stars throughout the tournament.
