Prophet Nigel Gaisie Criticizes National Peace Council for Election-Only Focus

At an event organized by the National Peace Council in Greater Accra, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, founder of True Word Prophetic Fire Ministries, criticized the Council for its perceived inactivity outside of election periods.

During a collaborative dialogue session on Tuesday, Gaisie accused the Peace Council of only engaging with critical issues during election times. He highlighted incidents such as the Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election violence and the Techiman election killings as examples where the Council failed to act or comment.

The renowned prophet expressed frustration, saying, “I live near Ayawaso West Wuogon and witnessed the events there. I still don’t know when the Peace Council will address it or issue a statement. Similarly, our fellow citizens in Techiman suffered losses, and the Peace Council has remained silent.”

He further criticized the Council’s selective approach, urging it to be more proactive and consistent in addressing national issues, rather than focusing only on election-related matters. Prophet Nigel Gaisie emphasized that genuine peace cannot be achieved in isolation from these broader concerns.
