Black Sherif Makes Strides in Fashion, Graces Off-White Runway at Paris Fashion Week

Ghanaian music sensation, Black Sherif, is making waves in the fashion world as he struts down the runway for Off-White during the prestigious Paris Fashion Week 2024.

At just 21 years old, Black Sherif showcased his modeling skills, adding a new dimension to his creative repertoire. Off-White, the renowned clothing brand founded by the late American designer Virgil Abloh in 2012, unveiled its 2024 fall/winter ready-to-wear collection on Thursday, February 29, with Black Sherif among its featured models.

The Ghanaian artist’s participation at Paris Fashion Week marks his second venture into the fashion scene. Earlier this month, he captivated audiences at the 2024 London Fashion Week, where he modeled for Labrum London, a British African heritage brand known for its commitment to sharing the untold stories of West Africa.

Black Sherif’s foray into modeling reflects his multifaceted talents and his eagerness to explore diverse creative avenues beyond music. His presence on the runway alongside fellow Ghanaian talent, Prince Brefo of the fashion collective Free The Youth, underscores the rising influence of African creatives on the global fashion stage.

The fall/winter collection showcased by Off-White, designed under the creative direction of Image and Art Director Ibrahim Kamara, promises to blend contemporary style with cultural influences, resonating with the brand’s ethos of bridging the gap between Western and West African cultures.

Black Sherif’s participation in Paris Fashion Week not only elevates his profile on the international stage but also highlights the growing recognition of African talent and creativity within the global fashion industry. As he continues to make strides in both music and fashion, Black Sherif represents a new generation of African artists breaking barriers and reshaping perceptions on the world stage.
