Shakira and her former partner, Gerard Pique, are reportedly taking additional steps to ensure the safety of their two children in the wake of an alleged stalking incident.
Earlier this month, the Colombian singer, Shakira, found some relief after her reported stalker, Daniel John Valtier, was apprehended and placed behind bars outside her Miami Beach residence, as reported by Billboard.
Recent reports suggest that Shakira and Pique are now collaboratively addressing concerns about the potential release of the alleged stalker, who had falsely claimed to be Shakira’s husband. There are fears that Valtier might secure his release by posting bail.
According to the latest information from Nation World News, the former couple is expressing anxiety about the possibility of Valtier being released from custody before the trial takes place. An insider close to the pair revealed, “The problem is not over, because he is in prison, but the trial has not yet taken place, and he has a bail of 150,000 euros, of which he must pay only 10 percent,” as reported by the Spanish publication Vamos a Ver.
In response to this ongoing threat, the 46-year-old songstress has reportedly requested continuous surveillance of her Miami residence to ensure the safety of her children. Additionally, Shakira and Pique are considering either increasing the number of security guards or permanently selling the house as potential solutions.
For those unfamiliar with the situation, Shakira shares two sons, Sasha and Milan, with her ex-partner Gerard Pique. The former couple is determined to take all necessary precautions to protect their children and maintain their security amid these challenging circumstances.
