Guinness World Record: Sunil Waghmare’s record for the Singathon after finishing 105 hours has been surpassed by Afua Asantewaa.

Afua Asantewaa Aduonum has finally overtaken the 105 hour mark established by India’s Sunil Waghmare, the current Guinness World Record holder, after four days and a few hours of singing over a thousand songs.

The stunning mother of three set out to become the person with the longest singing marathon when she started on December 24, 2023, and likely to finish on December 28, 2023.

Throughout the challenge, the former beauty queen and aspiring journalist was required to perform several Ghanaian songs, with a brief 20-minute break every four hours or 5-minutes every hour.

However, Afua Asantewaa is not finished; she is about to surpass the 120th hour in her hour, setting a new record that will likely be hard for anyone to surpass.

Ghanaians flocked to the Akwaaba Village in large numbers to shower her with love and support, giving her more than she could have ever imagined.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President of Ghana, Alan Kyerematen, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Efya, Fella Makafui, Asamoah Gyan, Stephen Appiah, Sammy Awuku, Lil Win, DKB, SDK, Kuame Eugene, the lookalikes, and Sista Efia were among the highly important individuals present.

It is now up to Guinness World Records to examine the documentation that will be presented to them and make a formal declaration regarding whether or not she succeeded in accomplishing the feat.

Up until that point, Afua Asantewaa has made a name for herself as a minor celebrity and shown Ghanaians what is possible when we band together.
