During his address at the 2026 GALOP National School Awards on Thursday, July 9, Iddrisu underscored that the Ministry is closely monitoring the police investigation and expects it to be handled efficiently and professionally. He stated, “The incident in Bole is both unacceptable and shameful. We expect the police to proceed with the investigation and ensure prosecution to deter such behaviour by educators.”

Iddrisu further instructed the Ghana Education Service (GES) to take a strong stance against all forms of indiscipline in schools, whether involving teachers or students. He asserted that any misconduct falling short of professional and ethical standards must face appropriate sanctions to uphold discipline and integrity within the educational sector.

In light of the incident, the Ghana Education Service has suspended the teacher’s salary due to his failure to report for duty following the allegations.
