The Sports Minister Mr Daniel Mensah, has expressed confidence in the national football team’s chances at the upcoming FIFA World Cup, insisting that determination and strong fan support can help the team compete with the best nations in the tournament.
Speaking during an interview on a local television program, Mr. Mensah said the team may not have the most famous players in world football, but it possesses unity, commitment, and the desire to succeed on the global stage. He noted that excitement among Ghanaians has been growing steadily as the tournament approaches.

According to him, supporters living abroad have already begun making arrangements to follow the team and cheer them on throughout the FIFA competition.
The passion of Ghanaians for the national team is incredible. “Wherever the team travels, they receive a warm welcome from supporters who believe in their ability to achieve something special.” Mr. Mensah revealed that large numbers of Ghanaians turned up to welcome the team during a recent visit overseas, describing the reception as a sign of the strong backing the players will enjoy during the World Cup.
Also he added that supporters from different parts of the world, including North America, Europe, and other regions, are preparing to travel and support the team in person. He highlighted the growing enthusiasm among football fans back home, saying the positive atmosphere could inspire the players to perform at their best. With expectations rising ahead of the tournament, the minister expressed optimism that the team can make the nation proud and leave a lasting mark on the world stage.
