He is a Member of Parliament and enjoys certain privileges. If he had any concerns, and if it wasn\u2019t about seeking attention or playing politics, he could have approached the head of national security directly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Susan Adu-Amankwah emphasized that the responsible action would have been for the MP to discreetly reach out to the relevant authorities before making the matter public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“That\u2019s what a well-intentioned Ghanaian would do. A responsible citizen doesn’t just jump from station to station looking for attention,” she pointed out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She also highlighted the impact of such statements on Ghana’s international reputation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Sometimes people forget that when we represent ourselves abroad, it doesn’t matter if you’re from NDC, NPP, or independent \u2014 you’re Ghanaian,” she said. “When something goes public and spreads globally, it reflects on you as a Ghanaian.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She cautioned that when Ghana is seen internationally, it\u2019s not based on political party affiliation but on nationality and race.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“They don\u2019t judge us by our political parties, but by our nationality and our appearance,” she explained. “So, if you think you’re acting in the interest of your party or to oppose it, and you’re trying to make a scene, you’re actually hurting all of us.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing the core of the allegations, Susan Adu-Amankwah stressed the importance of the drug issue for the nation’s future, particularly for young people in Ghana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Many of us feel that drug problems are already a significant issue here,” she said. “We\u2019ve seen the harm that Red has caused among the youth. We don\u2019t want more drugs making the situation worse.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She urged the government to take charge and investigate any legitimate concerns but reiterated that making unfounded public claims is dangerous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Any suspicion is valid, yes \u2014 but when you claim something definitively, we expect you to have more than just speculation,” she said. “That\u2019s not the way well-intentioned citizens behave.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
