Baba Sadiq, the newly-elected Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, has urged his contender, Patrick Boamah, to accept his defeat and move forward. In an exclusive interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz<\/em>, Sadiq addressed concerns raised by Boamah, the incumbent MP, who had indicated his intention to contest the election results in court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sadiq stated, “I think he must accept, so we can move on,” emphasizing the need to put the election behind them and focus on the future. He further remarked that, while contesting the results in court was an option, Boamah should recognize the will of the people, especially considering that this election showed a willingness for change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite his calls for acceptance, Sadiq praised Boamah\u2019s political experience and potential for growth within his party and the broader political landscape, acknowledging his contributions and capabilities. Baba Sadiq, the newly-elected Member of Parliament for Okaikwei Central, acknowledged Patrick Boamah’s political experience and potential, describing him as a “fine gentleman” with valuable expertise. Sadiq expressed confidence that Boamah could continue to grow within his party or on the broader political ladder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding the election results, Sadiq emphasized that the final vote tally clearly reflected the people’s desire for change. He won the seat with 15,383 votes, narrowly defeating Patrick Boamah of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), who secured 14,949 votes.
