Kwame Owusu Danso (KOD), the vice-presidential candidate of the Movement for Change, has been outspoken in his criticism of the entrenched \u201cwinner-takes-all\u201d political system in Ghana, which he attributes to the dominance of the NDC and NPP parties. KOD argues that this system fosters corruption and excludes many qualified Ghanaians from contributing to the country\u2019s development simply because they do not belong to the ruling party. He advocates for a government of national unity that prioritizes competence and inclusiveness over party loyalty, which he believes would foster peace and reduce political tension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In recent meetings, KOD emphasized the need for an Alan Kyerematen-led government that would focus on uniting Ghanaians and developing the country, rather than advancing narrow party interests. He also highlighted how a more inclusive government would create opportunities for all citizens, reduce corruption, and enhance political stability, especially during election periods. He argues that political appointments, contracts, scholarships, and other opportunities are disproportionately reserved for party loyalists, depriving Ghana of its brightest talents and perpetuating poverty and underdevelopment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KOD advocates for a national unity government, where leadership is based on merit and competence rather than party loyalty. He believes this shift would reduce political tension, promote inclusivity, and foster national development. KOD has called on Ghanaians to support the Movement for Change, led by Alan Kyerematen, as a pathway to break this cycle of political dominance and usher in a more equitable system that serves all Ghanaians. Kwame Owusu Danso, known as KOD, recently launched a significant campaign tour at the Kojokrom lorry station to galvanize support for the Movement for Change\/Afrafranto Alliance. His campaign focuses on youth empowerment and economic development, highlighting key policies under Alan Kyerematen\u2019s Great Transformational Plan (GTP).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his visit, KOD engaged with local youth and community leaders, emphasizing plans to create jobs and support young entrepreneurs. He proposed the establishment of 100,000 health booths across Ghana, which he claims would not only provide accessible healthcare but also create numerous jobs. KOD\u2019s vision extends to enhancing the Oti Region\u2019s potential as an aquaculture hub, advocating for job creation and agricultural reforms to boost local economies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His reception was overwhelmingly positive, particularly among the youth, who view him as a relatable figure committed to addressing their challenges.
