The altercation escalated, leading to Sackey&#8217;s death.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the aftermath, the school has experienced heightened tensions, including reports of a potential reprisal attack by a group associated with the deceased. Police intervention was necessary to prevent the gang from targeting students and staff, and some individuals were reportedly manhandled during the chaos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gabby Galley, a concerned parent who arrived at the school after hearing about the stabbing, expressed distress over his child&#8217;s fear following the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stephen Abamfo, the Greater Accra Regional Director of GES, confirmed that a comprehensive investigation into the stabbing is underway. He assured the public that measures are being taken to ensure the safety of both students and staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Abamfo stated, \u201cAfter the stabbing, which resulted in the student being taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead, I sent a delegation to the school to understand the situation. The rapid response of the local police to protect the school from potential violence was commendable.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added, \u201cThe case is now under police investigation, and I am gathering information to brief the Director-General. We will provide accurate information to the public once the investigation progresses. The student who committed the stabbing is in police custody, and the deceased is at the morgue.
