I’ve never silenced dissenting voices – Lydia Alhassan’s reaction to Legon security guard’s video

Ayawaso West Wuogon MP, Lydia Seyram Alhassan, has vehemently denied any involvement in the alleged detention of a University of Ghana security guard, which sparked controversy after a series of videos circulated on social media. The first video, shared on November 27, featured the security guard claiming that he had been offered rice and oil as incentives to sway his vote, but he made it clear that he preferred to support a different candidate.

Following the release of this video, another surfaced showing the same guard being escorted by his colleagues into a pickup truck, which led to speculation that he had been detained for expressing his political views.
